Hello!

My name is Anjan Tangirala and I'm a Furniture and Product Designer. 

Growing up, I've always been inclined to the arts like music, painting, theater and set design, and spatial planning. This interest in the arts and spatial planning led me to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture degree in my hometown Chennai, India. 

The understanding of our built environment is incomplete without the process of designing and building our interior environments too. This was one of the main reasons for me to get involved in furniture and product design and pursue a Master of Fine Arts degree in Furniture Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. 

I believe the language of furniture and product design should echo the structure encompassing it, and like architecture, I also think that furniture and product design requires a deep understanding of the aesthetic and functional impact it has on its surrounding environment. 

My enthusiasm for listening to live music and playing music (the guitar and the drums) has provided me a valuable perspective on adding emotion to design and strive to create atmospheres that enhance user experience.

My goal is to design and produce quality furniture, products, and spaces, that effectively communicates with its surrounding environment and the user.
